FAQ'S

Q: Where do tours depart from?

A: We have several departure locations. The departure location depends on the tour you are taking. Be sure and check your confirmation email or the website for the accurate location.

Q: Is this tour suitable for children?

A: Yes! We do however discuss topics such as crime, death, burials and the macabre. Please consider this and then decide if the topics are subjects you are ok with your child hearing about. People do bring their children on our tours and tell us that they enjoyed it thoroughly.

Q: Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?

A: Yes, all participants up to age 15 must be chaperoned by an adult. Proof of age may be required.

Q: Do we go inside buildings during the tour?

A: No, the stories and legends are told outside each location.

Q: How long is the tour and how far do we walk?

A: Our tours are almost all one and a half hours while the Garden District tours are 2 hours. The tours are a leisurely 1-mile route around historic neighborhoods in New Orleans. We stop outside of various locations where we share with you the stories and legends. We do recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather!

Q: Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

A: Yes, advance ticket purchase is required as tours do sell out.

Q: Can we bring cameras or video equipment?

A: Absolutely! We want you to! The only thing we ask is that if you shoot a great picture, send it to us so we can use it too!

Q: Does the tour happen rain or shine?

A: Yes, the tour runs rain or shine unless it's deemed dangerous. If we cancel the tour, participants may reschedule for a future event.

Q: Is there a minimum number of "tickets sold" required for the tour to depart?

A: Yes, we require a minimum number of paid guests before the tour will go out. If the minimum is not met, we will contact you to reschedule.

Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?

A: Due to the nature of our business, refunds require a minimum of a 24-hour notice prior to the tour. You are always welcome to reschedule your tour should you not be able to make it.

Q: Are dogs permitted on the walking tour?

A: Dogs are allowed on the walking tours except for our cemetery tour. On the other tours, just make sure the dogs are leashed, quiet, well-behaved, and you have adequate clean-up supplies with you, just in case!

Q: If I am running late for the tour, will you wait for me?

A: We always start the tour on time. If you are running late, please let us know (using the contact info on your confirmation email) and we will either place you in the next tour group, if space is available, or one of our staff will give you approximate places you may find your guide during the first 15 minutes of the tour. After that there is no way to find the guide due to changing routes, construction, traffics, etc.

Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking and get to the tour meeting point prior to the start of the tour to check-in! Plan accordingly.
