New Orleans Only Ancestral Witchcraft Tours
Walk the French Quarter with a guide connected to New Orleans witchcraft families and hear stories preserved and documented by the people who lived them. On this 90 minute outdoor walk, begin near Jackson Square before visiting Dutch Alley for the story of Malvina Latour and the French Market for the women whose knowledge of herbs, healing and spiritual practice shaped neighborhood life. On St. Philip Street, discover Mary Oneida Toups, who chartered the Religious Order of Witchcraft in 1972. Along Royal and Dauphine Streets, hear accounts of Celestine DuPont, the Séance Sisters, Adelaine Duvet, Ophelia Landry and other women whose stories are part of the Quarter's living memory. At Marie Laveau's former home on St. Ann Street, explore her place in New Orleans Voodoo and its distinct history. Return to Jackson Square to hear how ancestral families continue practices of protection today. This is an outdoor storytelling walk; guests are not asked to take part in a ritual.
